Core Aeration

Core aeration is one of the most important procedures you can perform for your turf. We use our core aerators over the entire turf area. The aerator punches and pulls out plugs of soil which helps to loosen the soil, which allows water, air and other nutrients to go down to the roots and improves the quality of turf. Depending on the type of soil, core aeration may be more necessary than others. The best time to aerate is in the fall, but anytime of the year is better than nothing at all.

We believe aerating works best when a fertilizer can be applied after the procedure. By follow the fertilization with a healthy watering you will help to ensure the most benefits for your turf.

Seeding also works very well with aeration. By loosening the soil the seeds are able to get into the ground easier, thus improving the chances of survival.

Core aeration not only improves the roots of the turf, but also the trees and shrubs as well. The easier it is for water, air and other nutrients to get into the roots, the healthier the trees and shrubs will be.
