Tree Trimming/Pruning
Trimming is a service that is almost always needed for Urban trees. Once a tree gets to a large size it should be trimmed up from the bottom to allow sun through for the grass and to make it easier to walk under. Trees also grow over houses, telephone lines, and other man-made objects, which can cause significant damage if it’s knocked down due to storms or other natural causes. Most of the trimming we do starts near bottom branches moving upward, this helps to allow proper sunlight through for grass or moves branches away from structures for safety reasons.
Pruning is a service that must be done on most trees to allow proper growth and the longest lifespan possible. Most pruning consists of removing suckers from the base of the tree from the major limbs. It also includes removing branches that are inhibiting growth of other branches, i.e. crossing. Most trees need a pruning once over other year while smaller trees more often to ensure the proper limbs grow as expected.
